We had a light repast at The Exchange in Derry city, a ‘wine bar and restaurant’ – although surely a ‘wine bar’ should have more wines by the glass on offer than 3 whites and 3 reds and NO champagne. AND no wifi! (Even the staff thinks there should be wifi in the place.)
We ordered a bottle of wine and a plate of skins and a plate of vegetables, thinking that we were in a wine bar and that snacks were appropriate. With our relatively small food order, we were made to feel like we were taking the place of someone who would order more, and therefore spend more.
Overall, an ordinary experience.
